The high-temperature hot water pump is manufactured by Deep Blue; seal damage has occurred on it. The main cause of this seal damage is unstable pressure of the seal water. The seal water for such pumps is supplied by the high-temperature, high-pressure boiler feed pump in the synthetic deaeration station. Subsequently, Deep Blue improved the material used for the seals by increasing its hardness, and thickening the pump shaft as well, which helped to reduce seal damage. The wire mesh inside the inlet filter of the high-temperature hot water pump was also removed. The mechanical seals of the black water circulation pumps do not fail frequently; generally, the service life of such seals is 3–4 months, and Sichuan Niki mechanical seals are used.
