You can simply subtract the remaining amount from the designed amount, but it’s generally not possible to take into account the entire remaining amount. Therefore, we usually calculate it by multiplying the amount of short rods detected by a certain coefficient, and this coefficient is related to the operating time of the mill after the rods were added last time.
Could you please explain it again? As stated in the operating rules, the filling volume of the mill is 70 tons, and the ratio of steel rods is 3:4:3. The sizes of the steel rods are 55 mm, 65 mm, and 75 mm. Last time, we took out 20 rods that were less than 40 mm in length from the mill, while adding 20 rods of 75 mm length, 20 rods of 65 mm length, and 10 rods of 55 mm length. If you can’t calculate it, just bold the bar. Add as many as are drawn out (count short sticks as half, or estimate). Or, depending on the particle size distribution, determine what size of steel rods to use and how many of them.

The wear of the steel rods inside the mill is measured, and the weight of these rods is calculated based on their diameter and length; this helps determine whether it is necessary to downgrade the grade of the steel rods, as well as to decide on the amount of rods that need to be added. In principle, the ratio of steel rods inside the mill should remain 3:4:3. Apply the required load to the steel rod.
