One of the boiler feed pump units here keeps delivering an excessive amount of water for some unknown reason; reducing the outlet valve leads to severe pressure buildup. To prevent excessive current in the motor of the overheating protection valve, we currently control the level of water in the drum by opening the boiler’s drain valve. This approach results in waste of resources. I wonder if anyone else has encountered this issue – how should it be adjusted?
