Recently, I tried to install the programming software that comes with the CD for “Siemens S7-300/400 PLC Technology and Applications,” but it keeps showing the message “SIMATIC Manager: No valid license key found. The application will be closed.” I have already installed the Automation License Manager, and I can see the license there – so why is this still happening? Could any fellow sea traveler tell me? Thank you!
There are many types of licenses. Some of the software you have installed does not come with a license, or the license does not match the version of your software
Siemens assigns one license per program module (function). If, during installation, you try to include all functions available and end up installing some that aren’t necessary, then the license manager will detect that you lack the corresponding licenses and issue an alert. What is said on the 2nd floor is also possible
Authorization management refers to the management of the module’s “license keys” (installing or removing them, transferring them), but you do not have an actual installation authorization
Today I downloaded an unauthorized cracked version from the Internet; once it was installed, I was able to use the programming software. I won’t worry about why that is for now – I’ll focus on learning programming first. Thank you all for your insights; I’ll ask for help again if I have any questions in the future. :lol
