Dear sea friends, I would like to share with you the measures I have taken to increase the diesel production of my equipment. If there are any shortcomings, please feel free to point them out. The measure I adopted to increase diesel production was to keep the dry point of gasoline below 160°C. This was achieved by reducing the temperature at the top of the distillation tower to 95°C and maintaining a pressure of 0.13 MPa in the tower. As a result, some of the steam in the vapor stream at the top of the tower condensed into water, causing water to be carried along with the vapor stream. To address this issue, we included a dehydrating tank in the design, which effectively solves the problem of water being carried along with the vapor stream, thereby lowering the dry point of gasoline and increasing the yield of diesel. By this method, the yield of diesel can be increased to 37%.

Re-refining of the oil can be employed to reduce the degree of reaction; of course, lowering the dry point of gasoline can also increase diesel yield, but reducing it to 160 is a bit excessive.
Catalyzed diesel has a very low cetane number, making it an unsuitable additive for diesel blending; the main focus should be on increasing gasoline production, with diesel production being handled by atmospheric and coking processes.
