In the design institute, as for the explosion protection rating, is it determined by the process engineering department, or does the process engineering department set the requirements and then leave it to the electrical engineering department to make the decision? Everyone is welcome to come and discuss it~
This is how we proceed: the process department sets the requirements for the electrical department, and the electrical department just needs to meet those requirements – it’s up to them. Sometimes we also discuss things together and decide on them jointly.
It is determined by the process engineering team; the electrical requirements must be equal to or higher than those specified by the process.
It is determined by the people in charge of the manufacturing process; those in the electrical field don’t necessarily understand the aspects related to the manufacturing process
It is determined by the process requirements, with the electrical department making the decision. Do those in the manufacturing field know how electrical explosion protection levels are classified?
It is determined by the process requirements; subsequently, the electrical tooling team makes a selection based on those requirements and discusses it with the process team to reach a decision.
The explosion hazard classification of the substances involved in the process unit is determined, but the explosion protection rating for the entire unit area is established by the electrical engineering team
