I went to work this morning, and as soon as I got in the car, I heard the driver shout, \"Oh no.\" Then I saw the car in front of us brake suddenly, and a person fell out of it. Everyone in our car was shocked. The car that caused the accident kept moving for a long distance before it finally stopped. Our driver said that the person who was hit was not going to make it; he must have been driving extremely fast – how could anyone drive that fast in such a place? It’s really outrageous. (Note: The road where the accident occurred is the main road in our town, located in the town center; students go to school and workers go to work along this road. It’s not wide either, so we are very careful when driving there, as it’s extremely congested. I took only one look at the person who was hit, and I never dared to look again; all I could see was blood. I’m still scared when I think about it now. Her family must be in extreme agony; such a good person was gone in the blink of an eye. There are more and more private cars these days, and road killers keep appearing one after another. In nine out of ten accidents, speed is the culprit. I really hope drivers will think of themselves and others and stop driving too fast – those few minutes you try to save could cost you regret for a lifetime. I completely agree. What I hate the most are those drivers who drive as if they’re on a mission to cause accidents; sitting in the car, one feels panicked. This is also a lack of sense of public responsibility. I hope that regulations in this area will be improved soon, so that those drivers who disregard the safety of others have to pay a heavy price, and are deterred from breaking the rules.
