An air damper is similar to an electric control valve, as it can adjust the amount of air flow.
Professionally speaking, it’s called an inlet guide vane valve, which can adjust the amount of air intake in order to control the load level! ~

It’s related to building automation; you might want to take a look at Siemens and Honeywell’s solutions for building automation. The power supply in these systems is 24VAC
