One end of the elbow connects to a straight pipe; can the other end of the elbow be connected to other pipe fittings? (e.g., valves, etc.)
Generally, a straight section of about 10 centimeters is required as a transition to connect the fittings, but in special cases, such as when there isn’t enough space and it’s not a special type of pipeline, it should be acceptable

Elbows cannot be directly connected to the flanges of PL and SO; there are regulations regarding this, but I’m not aware of anything else. . . .

For those that require short pipe connections, I think I saw something related to that in the piping manual
The standard seems to be a national standard, possibly the acceptance standard for the installation of pipelines in petrochemical processes. It doesn’t state that direct connection is allowed, but in practice it’s common to encounter situations where there isn’t enough space; we can decide based on the actual circumstances. As long as it doesn’t pose a significant safety risk, it’s fine to install one in less critical areas, just to save costs.
According to page P56, section 2.3.1(10) of the Chemical Process Piping Design Manual, when using formed seamless fittings (elbows, reducers, tees), they should not be welded directly to butt flanges; instead, a straight section of pipe must be inserted between them. The length of this straight section is generally should be at least equal to its nominal diameter, with a minimum length of 100 mm
