Currently, in some factories, although there are safety officers appointed, these officers hold a title only but lack actual authority; they have no say in the day-to-day management. It’s really frustrating to have to act as a shield only when superiors come for inspections.
This must be discussed with your supervisor; nowadays, the concept of responsibility for supervisors is no longer just a slogan. You need to explain the pros and cons to them. If possible, you can show them more of the decisions made by supervisors regarding handling incidents, haha.
Leadership responsibility system. The systems are all set by the leaders, and surely they are for the leaders’ benefit.
Well, you’re right. But there are always some managers who end up serving as scapegoats; the safety director (or deputy director) is the first person to be held accountable in the event of an accident in a company. That’s my understanding. Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.
It’s certain that those in leadership positions will be held accountable in case of an accident; power and responsibility go hand in hand. Otherwise, everything good would end up with the leaders, haha.
But there is another situation: it seems that the company gives you a lot of authority, saying so verbally and emphasizing the importance of safety. But in practice, the power is indeed limited! I have no tears to cry – this is the real shield indeed :(
Safety work is extremely difficult; it fails to reflect responsibilities, rights, and interests. The work is tough, and these days it’s usually only responsibilities that are taken into account – talk of management is nothing but empty words, and in the end it serves merely as a shield
There is no other way but to wait; whether it’s the synchronization of responsibilities, management methods, or the accountability system for supervisors, all of those are nothing but theoretical concepts. They’re not even needed during inspections – what a pathetic approach to safety management
If one is famous, they should surely get a share. I don’t understand how it’s possible to be famous without getting any share – does that mean you’re not fulfilling your duties?
Many of our leaders ignore the safety officers: safety officers? Do you have any business in my affairs? It hurts! ! !
How much is your salary there? High salaries indicate that management attaches importance to employees, and the company values safety, giving it top priority; as for low salaries, I need hardly say anything about that
