There are two level gauges on the coal slurry tank in our plant, located at two different positions – one higher and one lower. What considerations led to such a design?

The slurry level gauge in the coal slurry tank is usually of the single diaphragm type. The main reason for the difference between the high and low readings is that the low-level gauge can become clogged by coal slurry over time, resulting in inaccurate readings. There may sometimes be no slurry at the high-level level gauge, which facilitates clearing blockages. Ensure accuracy! But generally, problems that lead to inaccuracy still occur! I’ve consulted other manufacturers; I’m not sure if ultrasonic level gauges are used, and I don’t know whether their performance is good or not!
