I’ve been a bit confused lately – I wonder under what circumstances it’s okay to start a centrifugal pump without closing the outlet valve? ?
When the outlet check valve is in operation, it is not necessary to close the pump’s outlet valve
In emergency situations. But if it’s a normal pump shutdown or startup, it’s better to follow the rules just to be safe.
When a centrifugal pump is used as a standby pump, it is not necessary to close the outlet (for compressor condensate pumps, there is a high level alarm)
