There is little potential left in current aromatization processes. At best, it can be considered a C4 deep-processing project; as the ways in which isobutylene can be processed further become more diverse, there are many projects with better overall benefits than this one, making it increasingly useless!
The aromatization project is no longer profitable; it generates a lot of coke and consumes high amounts of energy, so it will be phased out soon!
Aromatization can only be considered an ancillary industry to the further processing of C4; I think the main focus is still on using C4 cracking to produce propylene and butadiene.
Question: What is the investment required for a project to produce propylene and butadiene through C4 cracking, and what are the potential profits? Thank you!
I would like to ask, what does further processing of isobutylene entail? Where does isobutylene come from? Isobutane dehydrogenation, MTBE decomposition?

When investing, the key factors are return on investment, the maturity of the technology, and current market demand. Such facilities are likely to be of relatively small scale, as smaller sizes make it easier to make adjustments.
I’ve learned it already. Since it has little value left, why go ahead with it?
