There is a thin disc on the compressor rotor, with a hole in its center; this disc can be fitted over the shaft and is installed by heating. After it is removed, it is prepared to be reinstalled. To prevent deformation, it is not possible to heat it up before trying to force it back into place. I would like to design a tool for this purpose – the idea is to create a rod that is about 10 diameters larger than that of the shaft joint. If the rod can fit inside, then the disc can be cooled down before being inserted. Let’s discuss what kind of tool would be better and more effective~
Make a conical mandrel with +0 at one end and +0.2 at the other; when it is inserted, reaching the middle will meet your requirements, and it will also be easy to remove. It is best to have a chromium plating on the surface to prevent sticking.

Some dry ice will do; it’s extremely cheap and not costly at all. Wrapping it around the shaft provides cooling, and it’s fast and effective.
There is a solution; it’s possible to use heating with oil, heating it to 200–300 degrees – there’s no problem with that, and its expansion rate will be fine as well.
