Inside the factory, a pure HCL distribution station needs to be installed, with an output pressure of around 0.3 MPa. Steel-lined PTFE pipes do indeed have good corrosion resistance against HCL. However, during installation, there were many leakage points due to an excessive number of flange connections. It is recommended to use FRP pipes; of course, only high-quality pipes should be purchased to achieve this. Adhesive bonding results in fewer leakage points.
If the moisture content in hydrogen chloride gas is below 10PPm, it can be transported directly using ordinary carbon steel pipes. If the water content is high, FRP pipes are generally considered; however, the straight sections and elbows at the connections must be pressure-resistant, which requires a skilled plastic welder. If the company is willing to invest, using steel lined with plastic is also a good option.
