Can a glass plate level gauge be used for liquid ammonia storage tanks?

Today, the designer of the process came and asked whether it’s true that glass plate level gauges cannot be used in liquid ammonia storage tanks. I searched for information for a long time but couldn’t find any concrete evidence; what type of level gauge do people use in liquid ammonia storage tanks they design? Is there really a rule stating that glass plate level gauges cannot be used in liquid ammonia storage tanks?
It cannot be used; liquid ammonia is considered to have moderate hazard levels. Glass level gauges cannot be used either, as specified in HG/T20583-2011. Please check the relevant documents
Clause 10.1.3 of HG/T20583-2011 only specifies that glass tube level gauges and glass float level gauges cannot be used for such media. It seems there are no regulations regarding glass plate level gauges?
Since liquid ammonia storage tanks need to take into account the influence of ambient temperature, an anti-frost level gauge is a better choice.
