For a 29MW gas hot water boiler, what oxygen content range ensures the highest efficiency? Some manufacturers claim that the load regulation ratio of this type of boiler can reach 1:16 – is this meaningful in practice?
It is generally appropriate to keep the oxygen content in flue gas at 3% to 5%.
3%-5% applies to coal boilers; in my opinion, considering the thermal efficiency of boilers, it could be around 2%. This oxygen level ensures complete combustion of the gases in the boiler while reducing its exhaust volume.
Regulations on energy-saving technologies for boilers stipulate that the excess air ratio for gas boilers shall not exceed 1.15
