If the driving load is very low, you can use feed to maintain the liquid level. If the driving load for operation is high and the space available for the plate tower is limited, it is better to first set up the liquid level and start the heat cycle before dealing with feed addition. There’s a lot of flexibility in terms of operation; you just need to time it well. How long is the low-load feed liquid level at 20%-80%, how long does it take for the tower’s heat cycle to be established, and how long is the liquid level at 20%-80% in the preceding sections? .
Before starting up, a full reflux is generally established in the distillation column to shorten the startup time.
