The inlet of the centrifugal pump is a pool! The liquid level is below the pump’s inlet – should the pump be filled with liquid before it is started? Will it be very troublesome to start the pump each time? Is there any solution?
A pump must be used, with a check valve installed at the pump’s inlet. See if it’s easy to modify.

In this case, a submersible pump would be the best choice; it’s quite troublesome to fill such a pump, as filling it can only be done from the outlet
It is necessary to fill it with liquid; otherwise, no fluid will be pumped out. Either a check valve needs to be installed or the height of the pump needs to be reduced
Add a fresh water pipe to the pump’s outlet pipeline; each time the pump is started, turning on the fresh water supply to fill the pump will solve the problem.
Install a bottom valve at the bottom of the pump inlet pipe, and add a filling pipe at the pump filling port (open the valve to fill the pump before starting it each time)
Is your pump a self-priming pump? Generally, self-priming pumps require priming before operation; if they are equipped with a foot valve, priming is not necessary after it has been done once!

It is possible to install a negative-pressure water intake tank on the suction pipe of the centrifugal pump; there is no need for a foot valve, which simplifies the process of starting the pump. Before starting, it is sufficient to fill the negative-pressure water intake tank with water, and as long as the packing does not leak, the step of filling the pump can be omitted when starting it.
