Gentlemen, do you know which type of level gauge is the best for measuring the level of frozen ammonia water (either locally or with remote transmission)? Our factory uses Danfoss AKS41 level gauges, but the actual level does not match the value displayed on the gauge. Please recommend other options for measuring the level of ammonia water!!!
Ammonia water generally does not freeze even at low temperatures; I’m not sure what frozen ammonia water looks like Can’t we use double flanges?

Frozen ammonia vaporizes into gaseous ammonia as soon as it comes into contact with air. We use Danfoss devices to measure the liquid level, and these devices utilize capacitive principles to do so
It vaporizes upon contact with air, so does that imply requirements for sealing? What about ultrasonic level gauges? There are now external ultrasonic level gauges that do not come into contact with the medium being measured; no holes need to be made during installation, as they simply adhere to the bottom of the tank.
It has extremely high requirements regarding sealing; any leakage would result in a serious accident. Thank you! ! ! If that doesn’t work, I’ll suggest to my supervisor that we try using ultrasound instead
How tall is the storage tank, and what is the installation method? Top-mounted or side-mounted? Whether the storage tank is under pressure, etc

For capacitive level gauges that use a method of adjusting based on the material present, if the initial tuning is not done properly, it may result in the measured level differing from the actual level during operation. 2. During use, changes in the sensitivity of the capacitive type sensor, or changes in the dielectric constant of the material being measured, can both lead to inaccurate measurements. Based on the above, you can find an instrumentation service provider to do the debugging for you. 3. If you need a contactless solution, it’s best to choose a radar-based one. If ultrasonic waves are used, changes in temperature and pressure inside the tank can lead to inaccurate ultrasonic measurements.
Why make it so complicated? A frost-proof magnetic replica with a reed switch transmitter will do just fine
