The methods I’ve heard of include the SBR process, oxidation ditches, aerobic fluidized beds, and anaerobic fluidized beds.

There are various processes for wastewater treatment. The common classification method is based on principle: physical treatment processes (air flotation, filtration, sedimentation, etc.), chemical treatment processes (addition of chemicals, electrolysis, ultrasound, ultraviolet light, etc.), and biological treatment processes (various anaerobic, anoxic, and aerobic processes)
I have a question for everyone: if the pH of the anaerobic feed water is acidic, why is the pH of the effluent neutral?

The anaerobic process consists of two steps (the so-called two-step theory): acid-producing bacteria generate VFA, while methanogenic bacteria consume VFA; these two processes are essentially in balance. When the acidity of the incoming water is high, methanogenic bacteria consume more acid than is produced by the acid-producing bacteria, thereby controlling the pH level during the anaerobic process. The anaerobic process has strict requirements regarding pH, which needs to be maintained between 6.5 and 8.0; some more sophisticated anaerobic systems require a pH range of 6.8 to 7.2. Commonly used methods at present: 4 ^ (S x(s9 z& W& Q% k0 F). Aerobic processes: SBR, CASS, oxidation ditches of various types, Carrousel oxidation ditch, A/O, AA/O, A/O/A/O, contact oxidation, biological filters, etc. Anaerobic processes: UASB, IC, hydrolysis-acidification, anaerobic fluidized beds, etc
