Which circuits require manual disconnect switches, and what are the types of manual disconnect switches? For example, is a knife switch a manual isolating switch?
High and low voltage power supply and distribution switch control system equipment are all equipped with isolating switches. Isolating switches are installed both before and after the high-voltage distribution circuit breaker; the pushing in and pulling out of modern high-voltage drawer-type circuit breakers serves the function of isolating switches. In low-voltage power distribution, an isolating switch is installed from the busbar to the front end of the circuit breaker. A knife switch belongs to the category of isolating switches.
