The PSA adsorption towers are switched off once a week; basically, it’s very rare for a set of equipment to start operating in May and then only be switched off once during winter, out of concern that the valves might get damaged due to the cold, even though there is plenty of water available.

Before entering the PSA unit here, there are four intermediate pressure gas water separation tanks. Theoretically, intermediate pressure gas should not enter the PSA unit at night, but over time, liquid can accumulate in the PSA unit; this is especially true when the temperature of the intermediate pressure gas is too high, as it makes it more likely for such gas to enter the PSA unit at night. So PSA drains the liquid irregularly, but more frequently in winter.
