Generally, hydrogenation units are equipped with gas seals on the top of the feed tanks, containing both nitrogen and fuel gas. Under what circumstances is each of these gases chosen for use? What are the impacts on the device? Could someone please help provide a comprehensive explanation?
The main concern is to prevent the medium from being contaminated; for example, fuel gas is generally used in raw oil tanks to prevent oxidation and deterioration. High purity of nitrogen is also required, as the presence of oxygen can easily lead to deterioration!
