Dear experts, there are a total of 3 high-pressure hydrogenation feed pumps in the system; 2 of the main pumps are equipped with frequency converters, while the spare pump does not have one? For starting the pump and making switching operations, how should the frequency conversion and minimum flow rate settings be handled?
The term “hydrogenation feed pump” is merely a naming convention in the process; it is not specified what type of pump it is. Variable-frequency pumps are only used to adjust the load. Adjust the frequency gradually, starting with the minimum reflux line. Once a certain frequency is reached and the pressure becomes normal, the outlet valve can be slowly opened to feed hydrogen.
