Dear colleagues, I would like to ask that the wax oil hydrocracking unit primarily produces products such as aviation fuel, light naphtha, and heavy naphtha. Now, in order to increase the aromatic content in aviation fuel, is it possible to use heavy aromatic feedstocks in its production? I am seeking your advice on this matter.
It should be possible, because there is a positive correlation between the components of the feedstock and those of the product in hydrocracking; if the feedstock contains a high amount of aromatics, then under the same reaction conditions, the product will also contain a high level of aromatics. However, a high aromatic content will inevitably lead to a decrease in the smoke point.
