Dear experts, how long is the steam purging time for paraffin oil, diesel, gasoline, and gas systems when your plants are shut down, and what are the standards for this?
First, it is necessary to clarify the purpose of what is called steam “purging”; it should be referred to as “replacement”. Use steam to remove the materials from within the system. Specifically, it relates to the time required for cleaning, which is dependent on the pressure, flow rate, and temperature of the steam source. The most crucial thing is to focus on whether the laboratory analysis parameters at the terminal are up to standard; everything should be based on the compliance of the data from the terminal. The system processes and timing for equipment installations vary; this is provided for reference only.
Gasoline is used as a topping agent; after use, steam is applied to remove any combustible substances from the pipelines.
