Our company plans to set up a hydrogen peroxide production line that makes use of recycled hydrogen. Since hydrogen contains sulfur and carbon monoxide, it is necessary to first remove sulfur and carbon monoxide from it; wet desulfurization is used first, followed by PSA for carbon removal, with a pressure setting of 0.7 MPa. It is now necessary to pressurize the hydrogen, with a gas flow rate of 7,500 cubic meters per hour. The design institute plans to use reciprocating piston compressors, but such machines require a large amount of space and have high maintenance costs. Could anyone please let me know if screw compressors are used for hydrogen compressors?

The investment cost for reciprocating compressors is lower than that of screw compressors, and their maintenance costs over time are low, but they have leakage issues； Screw compressors require significant investment and high maintenance costs, but they can basically achieve zero leakage.
A reciprocating machine will do; there’s no need for a screw machine
