Is the hydrogenation process of sulfur considered a process under strict supervision? Please give your advice
According to Annex 2 of the \"Notice of the State Administration of Work Safety on Publishing the List of Key Hazardous Chemical Processes Subject to Strict Supervision\" (An Jian Zong Guan San [2009] No. 116), hydrogenation is a reaction in which hydrogen atoms are added to organic compound molecules. The processes involving hydrogenation reactions are referred to as hydrogenation processes, and these mainly include hydrogenation of unsaturated bonds, aromatic compounds, nitrogen-containing compounds, oxygen-containing compounds, and hydrogenolysis. The sulfur hydrogenation process you mentioned falls outside the scope of the above definition. Furthermore, typical hydrogenation processes also do not include sulfur hydrogenation processes. Therefore, the sulfur hydrogenation process does not belong to the hazardous chemical processes that are subject to strict supervision. If the sulfur hydrogenation process mentioned by LZ possesses the hazardous characteristics of processes that are subject to strict supervision, or similar hazardous characteristics, it is recommended to adopt appropriate control measures based on the actual conditions of the project and in accordance with the basic requirements for safety control of hydrogenation processes.
Sulfur hydrogenation is not available; currently, the staff working at sulfur recovery units need to obtain certification for oxidation processes.
