If the reboiler runs out of fluid, will the steam flow in the tube side remain unobstructed? For example, if normal operation requires 3 tons of steam, will that amount still be maintained when the reboiler is out of fluid? The condensate flow path is unobstructed and directs to direct discharge.
It’s unobstructed, but the tonnage may not be the same as before.
Due to the pressure drop, it will decrease a bit, but by how much? Will it drop to 300 kg/h?
The tube bundle is unobstructed, but the steam volume will decrease.
Steam will condense only when heat is removed; without a heat removal medium, the condensate tank acts as a liquid seal for the steam, and the amount of steam will gradually decrease to almost 0
