Are there any specified values or empirical values for the criteria used to classify and define ammonia-containing acidic gas?
Our device was one of the first to be introduced in the country. When communicating with foreign experts at that time, they said that an ammonia content of less than 2% could be ignored; the ammonia content in the acidic gases from our device is less than 1%. Moreover, after mixing these acidic gases with cleaning agents, the ammonia content is likely to be even lower, so there should be no problem.
Different temperatures correspond to different conversion rates of ammonia. The ammonia content at the top of the single-tower side stream is generally less than 1000 ppm ; Generally, the process package requires that the ammonia content in the process gas be below 150 ppm ; Generally, in such operating conditions, burning up to 1000 degrees Celsius is sufficient.
For foreign-made process packages, it is generally believed that an ammonia content of 150 ppm will not result in crystallization; however, crystallization may occur when the content ranges from 150 to 500 ppm. Crystallization is inevitable at levels above 500 ppm. Foreigners believe that at 1300 ppm, the conversion rate of ammonia is approximately 99.99%, while at 1100°C it is about 99%.
