What type of storage tanks should be used for ethylbenzene, styrene, and xylene in industrial facilities that produce styrene?
We have 30,000 cubic meters of xylene. The main material used is Q235B, which is the standard material for storage tanks; the type of tank is an internal floating roof. A nitrogen seal can be used as appropriate, and it’s advisable to have one. The installation method generally uses the hydraulic inversion technique. For styrene, spherical tanks are generally used, with Q370R as the material. (Styrene is not very clear; adopt with caution)
Ethylbenzene and xylene are stored in internal floating roof tanks, while styrene is stored in dome tanks due to its tendency to polymerize
Due to the properties of the medium, certain cooling measures are necessary for styrene

Styrene does not require spherical tanks; due to its polymerization properties, it also does not need floating roof tanks. Instead, ordinary arch-shaped tanks with cooling systems should be used, along with a circulation cooling process.
