I would like to ask everyone: how often is the seal around the floating roof in the atmospheric storage tanks at their respective refineries replaced? Is it to replace it after opening the tank during its maintenance cycle? Or should it be replaced only after discovering damage upon opening the can? Or should it be replaced when its designated service life is reached?
During regular maintenance, the container must definitely be inspected; if any damage is found, it needs to be replaced. If there are no issues, it can continue to be used； If a strong odor of oil and gas is detected around the storage tank during use, it may be due to damaged seals or oil and gas leaks; in such cases, it is advisable to systematically clean the tank to check the seals. Depending on the condition of the storage tank, a regular seal can last for 1-2 tank maintenance cycles.
