On December 3, the sulfuric acid workshop of Jilin Petrochemical Company’s acrylonitrile plant completed the renovation of the circulation pump equipment in the gas cooling tower. By installing magnetic couplers, the risk of cracks in the glass fiber pipes at the outlet was completely eliminated. It is estimated that this will result in annual savings of 157,000 yuan in electricity costs, thereby enhancing both safety and efficiency. This circulation pump originally used a diaphragm coupling, which results in high instantaneous impact forces when the pump is started. The outlet is made of corrosion-resistant glass fiber pipes, which have relatively low strength; repeated exposure to such impacts can lead to cracks, potentially causing fluid leakage or even unplanned shutdowns, thus affecting safe operation. To address this bottleneck issue, the factory organized technical personnel to form a task force; after thorough evaluation, it was decided to use magnetic couplers as a replacement for the existing couplings. The magnetic coupler achieves soft starting through non-contact magnetic drive, thereby completely eliminating the starting shock force. During the renovation process, the technical staff overcame challenges such as the displacement of the motor base, alignment errors, and limited space for cable installation. After 7 days of continuous work, the renovation was completed successfully, and the system was put into operation right away without any impact on daily production. After the modification, the start-up shock of the circulation pump was effectively controlled, and the risk of cracks in the glass fiber pipe lines was completely eliminated. Operational data show that the motor current decreased from 5A to 4.2A, a reduction of 17%. Based on 8,000 hours of operation per year, energy savings of 157,000 yuan can be achieved annually, demonstrating significant energy-saving effects.
Energy efficiency boost: The quantitative value behind the 1.51% improvement. The ultimate goal of intelligence is to create tangible, quantifiable energy efficiency benefits for businesses. To ensure objective and comparable data, Quanying Technology and Dongming Qianhai Thermal Power jointly selected two 3-day periods with similar coal quality and stable boiler loads, to be used as the \"baseline period\" (under manual operation mode) and the \"optimization period\" (under the ADMC system operation mode). Energy efficiency was compared using \"steam production per ton of standard coal\" as the key indicator; this indicator is calculated by taking into account various factors such as the total steam output of the boiler, coal consumption, and the lower calorific value of the coal. The verification methods specified in the technical agreement were strictly followed to prevent inaccuracies resulting from variations in any single parameter. The final acceptance data shows that during the optimization period, the steam output per ton of standard coal increased by 1.51% compared to the baseline period. Based on Dongming Qianhai Thermal Power’s annual steam production, this improvement can result in annual savings of over 1,000 tons of standard coal, leading to a significant reduction in coal-related costs ; At the same time, there was a significant improvement in the stability of key process parameters: the fluctuation range of the main steam pressure was reduced from ±0.4 MPa under manual control to ±0.33 MPa; the fluctuation in the drum liquid level decreased from ±23 mm to ±15 mm; the variation in oxygen content control was brought down from ±1.1% to ±0.4%, and the fluctuation range of the deaerator liquid level was reduced from ±190 mm to ±25 mm. The improvement in parameter stability not only reduces energy waste caused by fluctuations in operating conditions, but also completely eliminates the risk of unstable steam supply affecting downstream chemical production; as a result, the satisfaction of downstream enterprises with the steam supply has increased significantly. “Previously, the shift supervisor spent 2 hours each day compiling paper reports from various positions, and errors were likely to occur during data verification ; The smart dashboard now generates production data in real time, reducing the need for manual intervention by 80%. ”A responsible official from Dongming Qianhai Heat Supply said that the ADMC system not only delivers tangible energy efficiency benefits but also frees maintenance staff from tedious manual tasks, allowing them to focus on more valuable activities such as process optimization and preventive equipment maintenance, thereby achieving three key improvements: cost reduction, efficiency enhancement, and quality improvement.
Industry benchmark: Providing a replicable path for the intelligent transformation of thermal power systems. The successful completion of the Dongming Qianhai Thermal Power project represents not merely a localized upgrade by a single company, but also reflects the core principles behind the intelligent transformation in this industry: using \"full-process automatic control\" to overcome the challenges associated with coordinating multiple units, leveraging \"data-driven optimization\" to unlock potential for improved energy efficiency, and ensuring continuous operations through \"minimally disruptive implementation\" methods. As another benchmark project for Quanying Technology in the field of chemical and thermal power generation within industrial parks, the implementation experience of this project is highly replicable: during the preliminary research phase, Quanying Technology carefully took into account the characteristics of the units at Dongming Qianhai Thermal Power as well as the patterns of steam consumption by downstream users, in order to develop customized control algorithms ; During the implementation phase, a \"step-by-step debugging and staggered operation\" approach is adopted to avoid disrupting normal production ; Remote operation and maintenance support is provided after acceptance to ensure the long-term stable operation of the system. The entire project took only 2 months from initiation to completion of debugging, achieving the transformation goals of \"low interference, rapid implementation, and high returns.\" With the continuous implementation of policies such as the “Implementation Plan for Special Actions on Upgrading Coal Power in the New Era”, “intelligentization + energy efficiency improvement” has become a necessity for thermal power enterprises to overcome development bottlenecks and achieve a green and low-carbon transformation. In the future, Quanying Technology will continue to rely on the ADMC thermoelectric intelligent control system as its core, offering intelligent solutions that are \"stable and reliable, with visible energy efficiency, and adaptable to various scenarios.\" This will help more energy supply companies like Dongming Qianhai Heat to achieve both cost reduction and increased efficiency, as well as sustainable development, through technological upgrades, thereby accelerating the transition of the thermoelectric industry from a model driven by traditional experience to one driven by intelligent data.
