The non-aromatic content of xylene in the overhead stream of the xylene column in the reforming unit is high; apart from increasing the reaction intensity by raising the temperature, are there any other solutions?
The unit was originally designed for triphenyl extraction, but due to limitations in the extraction capacity, xylene was not sent for extraction and was instead taken out directly from the xylene tower.
Is it mixed xylene? It’s the one behind the deheptane tower; I mean, is there PX behind it? In normal C8 and higher aromatic compounds, the content of non-aromatic substances is very low.
Should the bottom temperature of the reformed oil fractionation tower be set a bit higher, so that the C8 non-aromatics can be transferred to the C6C7 fraction and then sent to the extraction unit for removal from the oil?
Just by looking at the presentation, it’s clear that the speaker is an expert. However, we have carried out PONA analysis and monohydrocarbon analysis on xylene, and found that among the non-aromatic compounds, there are small amounts of naphthenes and C9 non-aromatic compounds predominating (with boiling points higher than those of xylene). The non-aromatic content in our xylene is no more than 2%

If the temperature at the bottom of the tower is high, could the saturated vapor pressure become too low? Do you control the saturated vapor pressure of gasoline?
