The main reasons for low water output from submersible pumps are as follows: 1. Excessively high head is used; The main reason is the improper selection of the pump used, an excessively high specified head, or improper valve adjustment during pump operation, which results in an overly high operating head for the pump. The solution is to appropriately reduce its operating head in accordance with the specified range of use for the submersible pump, or to choose a submersible pump of a suitable specification. 2. Clogged filter screen ; A clogged filter screen prevents proper water intake by the pump, which results in a reduced water output from the submersible pump. The solution is to thoroughly remove weeds and debris from inside and outside the filter screen as well as around the submersible pump; if necessary, the submersible pump can be covered with a bamboo basket or mesh basket to prevent weeds and debris from getting in. 3. Opposite rotation directions ; If the rotation direction of the submersible pump is reversed, the water output will be very low. The solution is to swap the positions of any two phases of the submersible pump’s outlet cable or power supply. 4. Blockage in the water pump impeller or pump chamber flow channels ; A blockage in the impeller or the flow channels of the submersible pump will directly prevent it from functioning properly. The solution is to disassemble the water pump and remove any debris from the pump impeller or the flow channels within the pump body. 5. Wear of the water pump impeller or pump cover ; The solution is to disassemble the water pump and repair or replace the impeller or pump cover. 6. The water level is too low, or the water pump is operating with insufficient water ; This situation can prevent the submersible pump from functioning properly; low water levels can cause cavitation in the pump, and operating it under partial dehydration conditions can worsen its heat dissipation. The solution is to adjust the submersion depth of the submersible pump, so that it remains submerged in water while operating; this ensures its proper functioning and also facilitates heat dissipation. 7. The water discharged by the submersible pump contains too many solid impurities and has a high viscosity ; This situation can cause the submersible pump to overload. The solution is to appropriately adjust the operating position of the submersible pump or select a submersible pump with suitable specifications for sewage and waste.
