With the rapid development of China’s economy and the continuous improvement of equipment manufacturing technologies, more and more products that are efficient, low-energy-consuming, and promote low-carbon environmental protection are being used. The CWB type magnetic vortex pump and CWB-G type high-pressure magnetic vortex pump developed by Shanghai Jianai Magnetic Pump Factory are new products that apply the working principle of permanent magnet couplings to centrifugal pumps. They possess many notable advantages, such as leak-free operation, low flow rate, high head, and corrosion resistance. Since the 1980s, Shanghai Jianai Magnetic Pump Factory has collaborated with the Chemical Research Institute to successfully develop eight series of magnetic pumps. Over the years, Shanghai Jianai has grown into a domestic manufacturer of special magnetic pumps. Recently, Shanghai Jianai has successfully developed high-pressure magnetic vortex pumps. These pumps can withstand system pressures of up to 20 MPa, filling the technical gap in China for pumps with high head, low flow rate, and relatively low system pressure tolerance. The impeller of the CWB-G high-pressure magnetic vortex pump is a disk, with blades arranged radially and evenly around its circumference. A flow channel is formed between the pump body and the impeller, and both the inlet and outlet are located on the outer circumference of the impeller. There is a partition between the inlet and the outlet, which separates them from each other. When designing, the technicians at Shanghai Jianai divided the liquid inside the pump into two parts: the liquid between the blades and the liquid within the flow channels. As the impeller rotates, due to centrifugal force, the circumferential velocity of the liquid inside the impeller is greater than that of the liquid in the flow channels, thus creating a circular flow. Furthermore, as the liquid at the inlet and outlet moves forward along with the impeller, the combination of these two movements creates a \"longitudinal vortex\" in the liquid in the same direction as the impeller, which is why it is called a vortex pump. It should be specifically noted that the circular velocity of the liquid particles within the pump’s flow channel is lower than the circumferential velocity of the impeller. During the longitudinal vortex process, these liquid particles enter between the impeller blades multiple times, and the impeller blades transfer energy to them; each time a particle passes through a blade, it gains energy. This is why, at the same outer diameter of the impeller, magnetic vortex pumps can achieve a higher head pressure than other type of blade pumps. Not all liquid particles pass through the impeller; as the flow rate increases, the annular flow decreases. When the flow rate is zero, the annular flow is at its strongest and the head is highest, because energy is transferred within the flow channel through the impact of the liquid. The successful development of the CWB-G high-pressure magnetic vortex pump marks another significant step forward for Shanghai Jianai Magnetic Pump Factory in the research, development, and manufacturing of special magnetic pumps. This pump can be widely used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, petroleum, electroplating, food, film and photography processing industries, as well as in research institutions. Units in the defense industry and similar sectors supply acids, alkalis, oils, rare and valuable liquids, toxic substances, volatile liquids, as well as equipment for circulating water systems and filtration systems. Especially for pumping liquids that are prone to leakage, flammability, and explosiveness, this pump is an ideal choice.
