The commonly used fire pumps today are motor-driven fire pumps. When these pumps are in operation, the motor generates a large amount of heat, and the operation of the pump itself also produces heat. A wet-type fire pump is one in which the air drawn in by an inter-stage or two-stage pump is compressed and then transmitted through a combined absorption and phase-differential silencer. II. Water cooling. Fire pumps generate heat due to the transportation and compression of gas, and this heat must be transferred from the rotor to the housing in order to be dissipated. III. Rotor oil film cooling. This cooling method involves connecting an oil delivery pipe at the inlet of the fire pump, using the cool oil that drips down in a steady manner to remove heat from the rotor. IV. Internal cooling of the rotor. To enable the fire pump to operate under higher pressure differences, a more effective cooling method can be employed: the rotor is cooled by circulating oil, with oil holes provided at both ends of the pump shaft; the oil enters through these holes, passes along the inner wall of the rotor, and then exits from the other end.
