As shown in the diagram, is it necessary to adjust the clearance after the replacement? After assembly, it seems that the turning of the shaft is a bit tighter than before; if there is a change in the clearance, in which direction has the shaft shifted?
The total stroke is very small; adjusting the clearance is an important maintenance procedure
1. What are the sealing compression amounts before and after removal? 2. Has the bearing at the end that was removed during shaft rotation been installed properly? 3. For future removals, it is recommended to install a dial indicator at the other end of the shaft, zero it out first, and then proceed with the removal. After reinstalling, by checking the gauge it’s possible to determine in which direction the shaft has been threaded, as well as how many threads have been made
