It features flexible operation options – it can be used in conjunction with two machines to address the problem of processing overly long sheets, or it can be operated as a single machine, thereby improving utilization efficiency and reducing energy consumption. The adjustments are made automatically by the CNC system, which makes things convenient. A manual bending machine comprises a base, a jack, and two positioning columns; the jack and the two positioning columns are both mounted on the base, with the two positioning columns located in front of the head of the jack’s piston rod and arranged symmetrically on either side of the piston rod’s center line. The utility model manual bending machine uses a jack to apply thrust to sheet materials such as copper and aluminum in order to bend them. Two positioning columns serve as the support points for the material being bent; the force applied by the jack helps to significantly reduce the workload on the operator. Meanwhile, the positioning columns allow the bending angle to be controlled, enabling this manual bending machine to quickly and accurately shape the material into the desired form. CNC bending machines are also classified into jog CNC bending machines, frequency-variable CNC bending machines, and servo CNC bending machines. Servo CNC systems are further divided into pulse servo CNC and digital servo CNC. According to international standards, twist-axis CNC systems fall under the category of semi-automatic CNC systems, as they improve the precision and speed of bending machines to a certain extent. It can greatly improve work efficiency through functions such as automatic avoidance, a die library, iterative step processing, and direct angle calculation; its precision can reach 0.05 mm. Moreover, CNC bending machines with torsional shafts require higher standards in terms of machine frame construction. There is also an electro-hydraulic servo CNC bending machine, which is a fully automatic type that allows for real-time synchronized control – no need to use balance rods to enforce synchronization as in conventional bending machines. Pressure distribution can be controlled through proportional servo valves, optical scales, and monitoring systems, giving it even more powerful functions, including the ability to directly control material properties and pressure levels. The operational requirements and skills for CNC bending machines are much higher than those for manual bending machines, and they are relatively more complex. A manual bending machine applies electricity to the coil through wires; once electrified, it generates an attractive force on the pressing plate, thereby enabling the clamping of the thin sheet between the pressing plate and the base. Thanks to the use of electromagnetic clamping, the pressing plate can be designed to meet various workpiece requirements, and it is also possible to machine workpieces with side walls.
