Does anyone know if it’s possible to make a hole in the magnetic pump casing to measure the temperature of the fluid inside the pump chamber? Is this approach feasible? Would creating holes violate the principle of a leak-free pump?
1. First, determine whether drilling a hole is necessary; if it isn’t essential, avoid drilling it to prevent unnecessary movement from damaging the pump. 2. If it must be done, seek the manufacturer’s opinions and proposals. Develop a practical maintenance plan and submit it for approval (follow the workflow).
Leakage-free means there are no leaks from dynamic seals; connections to equipment through openings represent static seals. If using threads is not reliable, the pipeline flanges can be welded together, but in any case the pressure gauge will still be connected via threads, unless a flange-type pressure sensor is purchased
