The lifting of the first batch of large-scale equipment for the coal gasification hydrogen production project as part of Shandong Yulong Petrochemical’s Yulong Island integrated refining and chemical processing project has been successfully completed. Recently, the lifting of the first batch of large-scale equipment for this project, which was constructed under the general contract of Tianchen Company, was successfully completed. The equipment to be lifted this time includes 3 water scrubbers and 3 gasifiers. Each water washing tower weighs approximately 252 tons, with a height of around 27 meters. The equipment foundation is located on the ground; an 800-ton crawler crane is used for main lifting, while a 260-ton truck crane is used for auxiliary lifting ; The net weight of each gasification furnace is 349 tons; the height of the furnace body is approximately 25 meters, while the elevation of the equipment’s support points is 39.85 meters. A 1600-ton crawler crane is used for the main lifting operation, with an 800-ton crawler crane assisting in supporting the furnace. The first phase of the Shandong Yulongdao integrated refining and chemical project is planned to have a crude oil processing capacity of 20 million tons per year as well as 2 ethylene production units with a capacity of 1.5 million tons each per year; the total investment required for this project is approximately 127.4 billion yuan. Once completed, the coal gasification hydrogen production project will supply a stable supply of hydrogen to Yu Long Petrochemical’s downstream refining and chemical processing units. The coal-to-hydrogen process route for this project includes multi-nozzle water-coal slurry gasification, three-stage sulfur-tolerant shift reaction, low-temperature methanol washing to remove acidic gases, and PSA hydrogen purification. The designed capacity of the facility is 220,000 m3/h of hydrogen with a purity of 99.9%, which corresponds to 114,000 tons per year of pure hydrogen. Gasification is carried out using a multi-nozzle opposed gasification technology. The inner diameter of the gasifier is 3880 mm, with a design pressure of 6.5 MPa; there are 2 units in operation and 1 as a backup.
