With the arrival of the new year, everything takes on a fresh look. Recently, the site of the Yanchang Petroleum Yan’an Natural Gas Storage and Peak Shaving project, along with its associated LNG facilities, has been a scene of intense activity as efforts to accelerate production continue. Currently, with the completion of the first round of panel assembly for the outer tank walls of the project’s LNG storage tanks, it marks the full commencement of the installation work for this project. Recently, the temperature at the construction site has dropped to minus 20 degrees Celsius. Such low temperatures pose certain challenges to the construction work. Despite these harsh conditions, the workers are making every effort to take advantage of the final period before the Spring Festival in order to advance the construction progress. Affected by the low-temperature weather, operations such as tank plate processing, painting, and in-process transportation were hindered. The project team, taking into account the actual conditions on site, coordinated with the owner and all parties involved to address the relevant construction issues. Optimize the supply and processing sequence of sheet materials, adjust the on-site construction plan, remove obstacles to project construction, urge acceleration of the project progress, and ensure that the welding of the second layer of wall panels for the 4 storage tanks is completed before the holiday, thereby creating conditions for smooth resumption of work after the holidays. It is reported that the project is located in the Linzhan Economic Zone of Baota District, Yan’an City, and will mainly involve the construction of process facilities for LNG liquefaction, purification, and gasification, as well as LNG storage tanks and related auxiliary infrastructure. This project is a key livelihood initiative in the Yan’an area, and it represents an important step in implementing the requirements set by Shaanxi Province to accelerate the construction of gas storage and peak-shaving facilities. Once completed, the project will further ensure gas supply safety in Yan’an city and some surrounding areas, holding great significance for the economic development and livelihood improvement of Yan’an.
