Recently, the HuanDian-Eastern Power Mulei carbon dioxide storage tank project commenced construction successfully, marking a new breakthrough for Lu’an Huaji in its expansion into the new energy sector. It has added new achievements in the field of compressed air energy storage, providing strong momentum for Lu’an Huaji to fully pursue opportunities in the new energy industry. It is understood that this project is the 1 million-kilowatt carbon dioxide compressed air energy storage integrated energy demonstration project of China Huadian Group Co., Ltd. in Mulei, which was overall contracted by China Dongfang Electric Corporation Group. Located in desert, Gobi, and arid areas and accompanied by the construction of large-scale wind and solar power facilities, it is the world’s largest carbon dioxide energy storage power station. The demonstration construction of this project enriches the technical approaches for long-duration energy storage, and will play a significant role in promoting the improvement and upgrading of China’s high-end energy storage equipment industry. It is of great importance for establishing a new type of energy system that is clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient. Upon completion, the project will help alleviate the stress on the power grid in Xinjiang during peak periods, reduce the rates of wind and solar energy being discarded, address the issue of integrating large amounts of new energy into the grid, and enhance the stability and reliability of the power grid. The project team of Lu’an Huaji’s Xinjiang branch will make full use of the advantages of intelligent production, enhance the professional skills of the team, plan tasks and production schedules in a scientific and rational manner, strictly control product quality, coordinate all production resources, promptly address the challenges that arise during the project execution process, and continuously strengthen the team’s drive and cohesion to overcome difficulties. They will go all out to ensure that the manufacturing of project equipment is carried out safely and efficiently, thereby helping Lu’an Huaji build itself into the most competitive energy and chemical equipment group in the world.
