Recently, information regarding Xijie (Liaocheng) Biotechnology Co., Ltd.’s expansion project to produce 17,000 tons of amino acids per year was made public on relevant websites. Basic project information: Project name: Xijie (Liaocheng) Biotechnology Co., Ltd.’s expansion project to increase annual amino acid production by 17,000 tons. Scale of construction: Annual production of 17,000 tons of arginine. Project investment: Total investment of 11.85 million yuan. Location of construction: Within the lysine fermentation workshop and the lysine hydrochloride purification workshop at Xijie (Liaocheng) Biotechnology Co., Ltd.’s factory. Construction period: 3 months. Scope of construction: Expansion will be carried out using the existing sugar production workshop, lysine fermentation workshop, and lysine hydrochloride purification workshop; no additional land area will be required before or after the expansion ； By utilizing the existing fermentation and purification equipment in the lysine production facility, along with newly purchased decolorization towers, and using SOD sugar as the main raw material, the product is manufactured through processes such as fermentation, separation, resin-based decolorization, crystallization, and drying; this results in an additional production capacity of 17,000 tons of L-arginine. Upon completion of the expansion, the production line will have an annual capacity of 28,000 tons of arginine (an increase from 11,000 t/a to 28,000 t/a). Meanwhile, due to the use of 2 lysine fermentation tanks, the capacity of the lysine sulfate production line after the expansion will decrease from 100,000 t/a to 60,000 t/a (a reduction of 40,000 t/a).
