The VA product tower, the tallest piece of equipment in Guangxi Huayi Energy Chemicals’ EVA project, along with two VA dryers, have been successfully installed. Recently, the EVA project reached a key milestone: with the successful installation of these equipment units, there were three installations carried out in one day, resulting in a total weight of over 110 tons. It is the final phase of lifting the large-scale equipment for the project, marking significant progress in its construction. The VA product tower to be lifted this time is considered the \"giant\" of this project; it stands at 45 meters in height, making it the tallest tower structure in the entire EVA project. Due to the limited space and numerous structures surrounding it, the use of a 900-ton crane in conjunction with other equipment undoubtedly adds complexity and difficulty to the lifting process. In addition, the two VA dryers lifted together, each weighing 34 tons and having a diameter of 3.2 meters, were located within the structural framework with a minimum distance of 200 mm between them, which placed high demands on the lifting techniques and equipment used. Faced with such a daunting task, the technicians did not dare to slack off in the slightest. After thorough research and analysis, they developed a detailed and rigorous lifting plan. Before the lifting operation, the staff carried out thorough reinforcement of the foundation at the crane site to ensure that the crane could operate stably during the lifting process, thus establishing the first line of defense for lifting safety.
