On December 10, the mechanical completion ceremony for the Tianjin Shihua project, undertaken by Sinopec Fourth Construction Company’s First Engineering Division, was held. The Tianjin Shihua Oil Depot, Tianjin Petrochemical, the project supervision unit, Sinopec Engineering Construction, Sinopec No.4 Construction Company, and the person in charge of the Nanjing project attended the signing ceremony. As a project under the close supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, it is also listed as a key project for Tianjin city and Sinopec Group for the year. Its purpose is to further enhance the strategic reserve capacity for crude oil, and to improve the stability of energy supply as well as the emergency response capabilities in the North China region. Since the commencement of the engineering project, through foundation treatment, piling, civil construction, and installation, and after days of round-the-clock efforts, mechanical completion was successfully achieved today, marking the full transition of the project from the construction phase to the stage of system integration testing and production preparation. Faced with multiple challenges such as complex geological conditions, tight deadlines, high technical difficulties, and extreme weather, the Tianjin Shihua project adopted a comprehensive management approach that integrated safety, technology, quality, schedule, and integrity. By optimizing construction organization, promoting technological innovation, and implementing lean management, it set new speeds and standards for the construction of similar projects. All the builders will continue to move forward steadily toward the goal of full operation, with a strong sense of responsibility and mission.
