9 modules installed in sequence: Major breakthrough achieved in the modular construction of the Blue Sea New Materials project

On December 12, further good news was reported regarding the construction of the process systems and thermal piping networks for the Blue Sea New Materials project, which is being carried out by Huanqiu Liu Jian Company. Following the successful precise installation of the first thousand-ton module to within millimeter accuracy on December 2, the project team has efficiently completed the transportation and installation of 9 more pipeline trunking modules, marking significant progress in this modular construction approach. The plant’s process and thermal pipeline network in Gallery A is a double-span deep modular project, comprising 22 modules in total, with a length of 1,270 meters and a total weight of approximately 21,000 tons. In just 11 days, the transportation and precise placement of 9 thousand-ton modules were completed, achieving construction without any outstanding tasks – the modules were ready for handover right after installation – thus setting a new benchmark for modular construction in the petrochemical industry.
The Nantong area serves as a modular construction base.
