Recently, **the Energy Group issued winning bid announcements for several sections of the Zhundong coal-to-natural gas project with a capacity of 2 billion cubic meters per year. Progress is being made on this major project, which began construction in 2025; equipment, pipelines, and electrical instruments will start to be installed in 2026, with full operation of the facility planned for 2027. On January 19, 2025, the announcement was released regarding the winner of the public tender for the EPC general contracting of the wastewater treatment system and certain auxiliary facilities across the plant for **Energy Group’s Zhundong coal-to-natural gas project with an annual production capacity of 2 billion cubic meters. On January 19, 20025, the announcement was made regarding the winner of the public tender for the EPC general contract for the wastewater treatment system and certain auxiliary facilities across the entire plant of the Western Energy Zhundong 2 billion cubic meters per year coal-to-natural gas project. Winner of the bid: Sinopec Ningbo Engineering Co., Ltd. The total investment for this project is approximately 16.8 billion yuan, with a land area of 3,360 mu. The construction includes units such as air separation and coal gasification, along with supporting facilities such as photovoltaic power plants, hydrogen production via water electrolysis, and CCUS systems. It has undertaken major scientific and technological demonstration projects such as large-scale environmentally friendly fixed-bed gasification processes and large-scale high-temperature methanization technologies. Upon completion of the project, it will be able to process 5.56 million tons of coal per year, with annual sales revenue estimated at 4.4 billion yuan and tax revenues of 700 million yuan; it will also create more than 1,700 new jobs.
