On March 3, the powder filling test for the intermediate buffer silo of the 450,000-ton/year polypropylene unit in the Tarim 1.2 million tons/year Phase II ethylene project at Dushanbe Petrochemical, which is under the responsibility of the Tarim Polypropylene Project Department of Jilin Chemical Construction’s Fourth Branch, was officially launched. This marks the entry of the unit into a critical phase of preparation for commissioning, laying a solid foundation for the successful testing of the extrusion granulation system with actual materials. It is reported that the material being loaded this time is polypropylene powder produced by the polymerization of propylene. As the core material for the trial operation of the extrusion granulation system, the filling quality of this powder directly affects the outcome of subsequent trials as well as the accuracy of equipment calibration. To ensure the safe, efficient, and orderly progress of the loading operations, the project team made careful plans and implemented a scientific approach: 2 80-ton cranes were used in conjunction to carry out the work, while 4 forklifts were deployed to handle the unloading of powdered materials and their transportation within the site. All operation vehicles follow the predetermined routes strictly, and dedicated barriers are installed in the unloading areas to effectively prevent issues such as material spillage and dust generation, thus ensuring both operational efficiency and effective site control.
